Annual Award

Award Criteria

  • 1 female and 1 male Award will be awarded in 2025 

  • There is NO Age Requirement

  • A panel of judges from RunAsOne and Bailey's family will be selected to assess nominees

  • RunAsOne members will also be able to nominate a runner(s) for the award

Passion for Running: Applicants must show evidence of their passion for running, such as participation in running events,
membership in a running club, or a personal training journey.

Mental Health and/or Illness: We encourage applicants with lived experience or a close family member or friend with mental health challenges and/or mental illness (this will be kept confidential other than to scholarship judges).

​Award Period

  • 1 January to 30 November of each year.

  • RunAsOne members can nominate another member(s) during the period 1 October to 30 November each year.

  • The award winners will be announced at the RunAsOne Annual Christmas Party

Selection and Assessment Criteria

Kindness and Generosity

  • Actively supports or inspires others in their running or personal journeys.

  • Involves themselves in community or volunteer activities, reflecting a spirit of giving and helping others succeed.

Gratitude and Humility

  • Displays appreciation for opportunities, mentors, and the running community.

  • Shares a reflective story or example of how running has enriched their life and the lives of others.

Commitment and Discipline

  • Demonstrates dedication to running through consistent training and participation in races or personal challenges.

  • Balances running with other responsibilities, such as education, work, and family.


Personal Values

  • Exhibits strong family values and maintains meaningful relationships, showcasing a commitment to loved ones.

  • Upholds integrity and positive sportsmanship in their running and life endeavours.


Inspiration and Impact

  • Has a story or achievements that inspire others to pursue their passions and goals.

  • Shows leadership or influence within the running community, motivating peers to strive for excellence.
